About the position

The Patient Service Representative will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and satisfaction in a clinical environment. This position involves supporting staff and patients by managing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with treatment plans while ensuring a high level of customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and sign them in upon arrival.
  • Schedule future appointments and handle incoming phone calls.
  • Assist patients according to training to ensure they receive the best possible service.
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns according to DCA Policies.
  • Maintain the appointment book and confirm appointments.
  • Follow up on no-shows and cancellations of appointments.
  • Register patients on the sign-in sheet.
  • Post charges and payments to patient accounts.
  • Check voice-mail daily and maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office is preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus.
  • Experience answering telephone calls is required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are necessary.
