The Patient Service Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional experience for patients at the outpatient physical therapy centers in Largo and Seminole, FL. This full-time position involves managing both the patient and business aspects of the center, starting from the front desk. The specialist is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling insurance-related tasks, thereby significantly impacting the overall care experience of patients.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients, providing information about their visit and next appointment.
- Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
- Maintain regular communication with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, operational leaders, and the business development team.
- Collect co-pays from patients and manage payer approvals, including conducting insurance authorizations and verifications.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 Year Front Desk Experience
- 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
