About the position
As a Patient Services Representative Associate at Corewell Health, you will be integral in providing exceptional healthcare service to patients. This role involves a combination of registration, concierge, and clerical duties, ensuring that patients receive the support they need during their healthcare journey. Your contributions will significantly impact the lives of patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Greet and communicate with patients or visitors, including collecting payments and co-payments.
- Answer practice phone calls and schedule patient appointments using a decision tree where applicable.
- Order supplies, generate patient letters, process/sort mail and supply deliveries, and process registration reports.
- Identify and remind patients of health maintenance gaps and document patient phone calls in EHR for call routing/resolution.
- Confirm patient demographic and insurance information during registration and assist patients with kiosk registration.
- Schedule follow-up appointments or confirm future appointments during patient check-out.
- Maintain patient medical records according to standards and upload Right Fax documents into EPIC.
- Participate in safety initiatives and complete all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements on time.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support, or other related experience.

- Vocational/Technical One year certificate from college or technical school (based on Corewell Health entity and department).
