About The Position

As a Patient Services Representative with Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare service to patients. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support, or other related experience.

• Vocational/Technical One year certificate from college or technical school (based on Corewell Health entity and department).

Responsibilities

• Greet and communicate with patients or visitors, including collecting payments and co-payments.
• Answer practice phone calls and schedule patient appointments using a decision tree where applicable.
• Order supplies, generate patient letters, process/sort mail and supply deliveries, and process registration reports.
• Identify and remind patients of health maintenance gaps.
• Document patient phone calls in EHR for call routing/resolution.
• Perform patient registration and check-in, confirming patient demographic and insurance information, and assisting with kiosk registration.
• Schedule follow-up appointments or confirm future appointments during patient check-out.
• Maintain patient medical records according to standards and upload Right Fax documents into EPIC.
• Perform basic EMR/EHR scanning.
• Actively participate in safety initiatives and complete all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements in a timely manner.
