The specialist will be responsible for patient registration, customer service, and maintaining organized patient records, contributing to a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families during the registration process.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation.
• Assist patients with inquiries regarding their care and services offered.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless patient experience.
• Support the revenue cycle operations by verifying insurance information and processing patient registrations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration is required.
• Strong organizational and planning skills are necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• Some college level coursework, particularly in Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant coursework is preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) is preferred.
• Experience with registrar and third-party payor processes is a plus.
