The Patient Sitter will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by staying in the room and monitoring them at all times. This includes collecting data on patients' activities and verbalizations as requested and reporting any findings to the nursing staff. The Patient Sitter will also coordinate with staff for patient needs such as meals and restroom breaks, and will notify staff of any patient requests or unusual activities. The role requires collaboration with nursing staff to incorporate patients' cultural and religious needs into their care, and participation in process improvement activities within the department as requested.
