About the position

The Patient Service Representative at Mercy Primary Care serves as the first point of contact for patients, embodying the organization's commitment to exceptional customer service and compassion. This role is essential in ensuring that all interactions align with Mercy's mission and service standards, while also supporting the administrative functions of the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
  • Perform administrative tasks at the front desk, including registration and appointment scheduling.
  • Assist patients with inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Support the clinic's operations by coordinating with medical staff and other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of applicable medical office experience preferred.
  • Completion of Clinic Core Front Desk Training is mandatory for new hires.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
