About The Position

The Patient Services Representative - Level 1 is a full-time position that involves providing support with the daily activities of a medical office to ensure the best patient care. The role includes greeting patients, utilizing a practice management system for check-ins and check-outs, processing telephone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing patient registration in a team-based environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be dependable, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Prior medical office experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems
  • Consistent work history
  • Medical office experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
  • Checks-in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the electronic medical records/database, performs all registration functions
  • Assists patients with ambulatory difficulties, or other needs, as appropriate
  • Maintains computerized scheduling and follows office scheduling policies
  • Handles phone calls as appropriate
  • Demonstrates attendance and punctuality by being dependable and arriving to work on time
  • Cooperates and helps out coworkers if needed and is committed to the success of the team
  • Performs other duties as assigned
