About The Position

The Patient Transportation/Medical Records Tech position at Wellstone Regional Hospital involves a combination of patient transportation and clerical duties within the Medical Records Department. This full-time role requires the individual to work 20 hours in the Outpatient Department and 20 hours in Medical Records, primarily from Monday to Friday, with no weekend shifts. The position is essential for ensuring the safe transport of patients and maintaining accurate medical records.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent; two years of technical or trade school preferred but not required.
• Experience in operating a variety of vehicles, including 12-passenger vans.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must complete CPR/CPI certification and an internal driving test.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in healthcare or medical transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to and from appointments and facilities.
• Monitor patients during transport to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Perform clerical duties in the Medical Records Department, including filing and data entry.
• Understand and comply with Indiana/Kentucky state driving laws and regulations.
• Operate a variety of vehicles, including 12-passenger vans.
