About The Position

The Patient Transporter in Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for safely transporting patients between the Diagnostic Imaging department and other areas of the hospital. This role involves performing general cleaning and sanitizing of transport equipment, assisting with clerical duties, and stocking supplies, all under the supervision of the MRI Lead Tech and DI Director.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Previous experience in a health-related field using medical terminology is preferred.
• Certified Nurses Aid (CNA) training preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between the Diagnostic Imaging department and other hospital areas.
• Perform general cleaning and sanitizing of transport equipment after each use.
• Assist with clerical duties as assigned in the department.
• Help stock supplies as needed.
• Work under the direct supervision of on-duty technologists when management is not present.
