About the position
The Patriot Place Patrol Overnight position is a part-time role based at Gillette Stadium, primarily focused on providing security during the overnight hours from 12 AM to 8 AM. This position is crucial for maintaining safety and security in restricted areas, especially on the nights leading up to events. The individual in this role will be responsible for access control, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed in specific areas, and monitoring for any suspicious activity or unattended items. The job requires a high level of vigilance and the ability to respond effectively to any security concerns that may arise during the shift. As part of the security team, the individual will be stationed at fixed access points, where they will monitor the area for any unauthorized access attempts. This includes checking credentials and conducting inspections of bags and individuals who are permitted in the restricted zones. The role may also involve being stationed inside a security vehicle at a designated location, providing an additional layer of oversight. Reporting any suspicious findings to the security command and documenting incidents are essential components of the job, ensuring that all security matters are properly recorded and addressed. The position does not include supervisory responsibilities, allowing the individual to focus solely on security duties. The work environment can be challenging, as it involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and potentially loud noise levels during events. The ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively communicate with team members and command is vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide access point security looking in fixed location for unattended or suspicious items.
- Report any suspicious or unattended items to security command.
- Proactively prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing assigned area.
- Check credentials or conduct inspections of bags and/or individuals who do have access to the restricted area.
- May be assigned to be inside a security vehicle at a fixed location.
- Report any issues to the security command supervisor.
- Document any incidents.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
Requirements
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Attentive to detail and observant.
- Effective listening and communication skills, oral and written.
- Ability to remain calm and work under pressure.
