About the position

Bayou Pawn & Jewelry is seeking a motivated and outgoing individual to join their team as a Pawnbroker/Sales Associate at their newest location in Baton Rouge, LA. This role involves selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail environment to drive company revenue. No prior knowledge of the pawn business is required, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and identify customer needs
• Explain products and services to customers
• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
• Stocking and pulling inventory
• Enter and process customer orders
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Process loans, extensions, and sales
• Evaluate customer's items for loan value

Requirements

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build rapport with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
