About the position

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Pawn Broker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess retail sales skills, providing exceptional customer service and effectively communicating with clients. As a Pawn Broker, you will be responsible for evaluating items brought in by customers, facilitating transactions, and maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess the value of items brought in by customers for pawn or sale.
• Conduct transactions accurately using a POS system and cash register.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with purchases.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment to enhance the customer experience.
• Utilize basic math skills to calculate loan amounts, interest rates, and transaction totals.
• Promote store products and services to maximize sales opportunities.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Previous sales/customer service experience is preferred, with a focus on cash handling.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
• Basic math proficiency to ensure accurate transactions.
• Experience using POS systems and cash registers is advantageous.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in the pawn industry is a plus, but not required.
