About the position

The Pawn, Sales, and Customer Experience Specialist at Capital Pawn is a full-time role focused on delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. The position involves engaging with customers, assisting with sales, and providing financial services, including short-term cash loans. The specialist will work with a variety of merchandise, including firearms, jewelry, and electronics, while contributing to a positive team atmosphere and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and support in sales transactions.
• Assist customers with inquiries about merchandise and financial services.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Process sales transactions using the company's technology-based POS system.
• Lift and move merchandise as needed, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and encourage repeat business.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Retail and/or sales experience required, with a minimum of 1 year in customer service.
• Ability to pass a Federal background check.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Basic math skills for calculating change and percentages.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. to eye level.

Nice-to-haves

• Jewelry experience is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred.
