About the position

The Paymaster Operations Analyst is a critical analytical role within BlackLine's Managed Services teams, focused on improving and communicating trends and opportunities across the business and customer constructs. This position requires a strong understanding of billing fundamentals, financial analysis, and compliance with policies and regulations, while implementing actions that enhance customer value, quality, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% on-time and accurate monthly billing production for all applicable services
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary business and subject matter experts to support Managed Services Operations
  • Communicate with and influence internal and external parties to align processes with strategic goals
  • Facilitate Managed Services solutions across technologies and geographies
  • Champion data-driven decision making and collaborate with business partners for insights and recommendations
  • Create and document enhancement requirements for business process improvements
  • Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics and compliance needs
  • Restructure and streamline activities to remove non-value-added tasks

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Finance, ideally within large multi-national corporations
  • Prior experience in Intercompany, FP&A, controllership, or related Finance functions
  • Critical thinker with ability to understand large, complex data sets
  • Background in risk and control, and/or process improvement
  • Superior analytical, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Active listening skills and ability to build effective working relationships
  • Basic understanding of financial ERP software
  • Strong attention to detail and good judgement
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Expert customer service communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance, business or technology discipline
  • Advanced understanding of intercompany accounting
  • Basic understanding of general accounting principles
  • Knowledge of robotic process automation tools and processes
