About the position

The Payment Operations Representative II role at SchoolsFirst FCU is focused on providing exceptional service to members through efficient and accurate processing of complex drafts, payroll, and ACH operations. This position requires a strong understanding of credit union procedures and regulations, as well as the ability to assist team members and resolve member issues effectively. The representative will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provides World Class service by meeting Members' and team members' needs through efficient, accurate, and time-sensitive processes related to drafts, payroll, and ACH operations.
  • Processes and balances all reports related to drafts, payroll, eDeposit, and ACH functions accurately and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Closes out all assigned work and ensures appropriate data is available in month-end reporting.
  • Assists team members as an initial escalation point regarding Member issues, assisting branches, or other departments.
  • Researches and resolves all department-related general ledgers and addresses out-of-balance conditions to management.
  • May provide suggestions to improve efficiencies, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Responsible for providing fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures necessary to assist Members and team members regarding payroll processes, drafts, ACH, and similar functions.
  • Maintains confidentiality of Credit Union and Member records.
  • Performs daily system file maintenance and utilizes multiple systems and critical applications to maintain Member account transactions.
  • Performs various office functions, including logging and distributing mail, check posting, imaging, record retention, and managing supply orders.
  • Maintains time-sensitive workflow relating to all functions listed above.
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements, including BSA regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of previous related experience required.
  • Knowledge of department functions, credit union standard operating procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Analytical skills to utilize available resources to conduct research and resolve various account and general ledger issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of the credit union's Standard Operating Procedures and skills to utilize theSource and other tools for research and issue resolution.
  • Broad working knowledge of rules and regulations related to department functions, such as Regulation E, Regulation D, Regulation CC, and NACHA.
