As a Payment Operations Specialist at Adecco, you will play a crucial role in the processing of payments and related administrative tasks. This position is based in Valley Cottage, New York, and is classified as a contract/temporary role with the potential for permanent placement. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the accurate and efficient handling of payment-related documents and data entry tasks. You will be responsible for preparing batches of work by extracting checks and remittances from envelopes, inputting data into the system while adhering to standard operating procedures, and following customer-specific instructions for processing. Additionally, you will be involved in collecting and distributing mail, which includes opening envelopes by hand or machine and sorting the mail accordingly. Scanning confidential documents for processing is also a key responsibility of this position. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a flexible attitude and a willingness to cross-train and learn all job functions within the operations team. Attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to work independently while being a reliable team member. Proficiency in English is required, and dependability is a must to ensure the smooth operation of payment processing tasks. This position offers a calm work atmosphere where you can dress casually while focusing on your responsibilities. This role is scheduled for the 2nd shift, from Monday to Friday, 12 PM to 8:30 PM, providing a structured work schedule that allows for work-life balance. Responsibilities
