About The Position
As a Payment Poster at Pathway Healthcare, you will play a critical role in our finance team by ensuring accurate and timely posting of daily cash deposits, patient and insurance payments, and zero payment insurance denials. Your attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information will be key to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall billing process. This position is essential for the smooth operation of our billing department and requires a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial data. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments and adjustments to accounts, including both patient and insurance payments. You will also verify and reconcile all insurance payments with remittance advice, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise. Administrative duties will include handling sensitive information confidentially, processing time-sensitive documents, and managing correspondence related to attorney disputes. Collaboration is a key aspect of this position, as you will work closely with the billing team to resolve any billing or coding errors. You will also communicate payment and denial trends to the Manager, ensuring that the team is informed and can take appropriate action. Additionally, you may be assigned other tasks by the Manager or Director, such as working on credit balance queues and processing certified mail.
