About the position

Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant and Excel Specialist to join their Finance team. This role is crucial in advancing their mission by ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining financial records, and supporting financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Excel, enabling them to streamline processes and provide detailed financial insights. In this position, you will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now. You will prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, and execute month-end and year-end closing activities. Additionally, you will assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, manage accounts payable and receivable functions, and ensure compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards. You will also prepare regulatory reports and ensure timely submissions, develop and enforce internal financial controls, and collaborate with various departments to support financial decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Proven expertise in corporate accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and advanced formulas).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with VBA and Macros for Excel automation.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools like Goal Seek and Solver.
  • Experience in creating charts and graphs for financial reporting.
