About the position

The National Restaurant Accountant at McDonald's Australia Limited (MAL) plays a crucial role in managing the marketing fund and collaborating with the marketing team. This position offers exposure to marketing operations and finance projects across both owned and franchised restaurants, focusing on governance, budgeting, and financial analysis to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with Marketing, National Operations, and Finance to generate insights and analysis that supports sound commercial outcomes for the business
• Managing strong governance of the marketing fund and providing key projection reporting to support the marketing plan
• Managing the marketing fund external audit process and achieving a strong audit result
• Managing the marketing fund budget process
• Providing analysis, insights, and support for key business meetings, both internal and external
• Supporting continuous improvement in processes and governance
• Partnering with owned restaurants to provide ongoing month-end reporting
• Managing the budget process for owned restaurants

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting
• Working towards CA/CPA studies (preferred but not essential)
• Willingness to learn and make changes to processes where opportunities arise
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
