About the position

The Payroll and Accounting Specialist at CX Institutional LLC is responsible for managing payroll, accounts payable, and receivable tasks. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, vendor payments, and reconciliations, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The specialist will work closely with the Director of Finance and other team members to uphold the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, audit, and process payments and receivables from company vendors, TPAs, and custodians.
  • Maintain and organize receipt of payments, invoices, and receipts with company online file storage systems.
  • Communicate with external partners, custodians, TPAs, and vendors to resolve any payment or invoice discrepancies and questions.
  • Process payroll for company employees, ensuring that all compensation pay codes, taxes, and benefit deductions are correct and set up in a timely manner.
  • Audit payroll and GL reports to ensure accuracy, adjusting where necessary, and maintaining documentation on changes, corrections, and updates.
  • Process expense reimbursements and reconciliation of expenses.
  • Assist with other month end close activities as assigned.
  • Remain knowledgeable in the policies and regulations of the regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all work activities.
  • Work with all other team members in a way that is conducive with the mission, values, and beliefs of the company to provide customer service beyond expectations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
  • Comply with company-wide policies and SEC/FINRA regulations.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in payroll and accounting functions.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in payroll processing and related software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SEC/FINRA regulations.
  • Familiarity with online file storage systems.
  • Knowledge of expense reimbursement processes.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year.
