About the position

EnSafe is seeking a Payroll/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic Accounting Department in Memphis, TN. As an employee-owned global environmental consulting and engineering firm, EnSafe is dedicated to providing innovative solutions in Environmental Management and Planning, Civil Design Engineering, Environmental Restoration, Natural & Water Resources, Health & Safety, and Technology. In this role, you will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. You will review and verify timesheet records, process special payments such as bonuses, and assist with payroll audits and year-end processes. Collaboration with HR on payroll-related matters is essential, as is maintaining and updating employee payroll records and files. In addition to payroll responsibilities, you will also handle accounts receivable tasks, including recording and posting cash receipts to the appropriate accounts and invoices. You will reconcile cash receipts with bank statements and customer statements, resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise, such as missing payments, overpayments, or refunds. Your role will also involve preparing and maintaining reports and records of cash receipts and transactions, as well as communicating with clients and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate cash receipt processing. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Two plus years of relevant payroll accounting experience.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with administration and clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, diplomatically, and with integrity in identifying problems.
  • Possess strong organizational skills, time management skills, and be deadline-driven.
