About the position

The Payroll Administrator at PriorityWorkforce is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to clients, contingent employees, and coworkers while managing payroll processing and related administrative tasks. This role requires strong leadership qualities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling payroll matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist payroll processing including time entry and verification.
  • Generate payroll checks and direct deposits.
  • Process garnishments and set up employee deductions while adhering to guidelines.
  • Answer phone calls and resolve employee or customer inquiries regarding payroll, invoicing, or new hire data entry.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of office/administrative experience.
  • Prior experience in Payroll, Accounting, or Staffing Industry desired.
  • Understanding of state and federal laws, wage and hour, and payroll/timekeeping.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience with Tempworks and Salesforce is ideal.
  • Ability to navigate and work with various timekeeping and payroll systems and databases.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college coursework is desired.
  • Valid driver's license.
