About the position

As the Payroll Administrator in a healthcare setting, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team that prioritizes the well-being of the community. This full-time, onsite position is located in Warden, WA, a vibrant area known for its beautiful freshwater lake and over 300 days of sunshine each year. The community, with a population of around 25,000, is served by a healthcare facility that caters to approximately 77,000 individuals. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, which is crucial for maintaining employee satisfaction and compliance with labor laws. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will oversee all payroll functions, maintain employee benefit plans, and work closely with the Human Resources Department to ensure adherence to policies and regulations. Your expertise will help streamline payroll operations and enhance the overall efficiency of the organization. The position requires a strong background in payroll, HR, or accounting, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience. You will utilize your skills in various software applications, including Premier ERP, UKG, and WFD, to manage payroll data effectively. Additionally, you will play a key role in maintaining confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies, ensuring that all payroll-related matters are handled with the utmost professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with labor contracts, organization policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Input and review payroll data, making necessary adjustments to resolve errors.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Department on payroll-related matters and policy adherence.
  • Reconcile quarterly and yearly tax reports and ensure accuracy of W-2 forms.
  • Maintain employee records and update HRIS with relevant payroll information.
  • Serve as the Timekeeping System Administrator, coordinating with vendors and other departments to ensure system functionality.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel records and comply with organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in accounting or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least four years of experience in payroll, HR, or accounting, with knowledge of HRIS and financial systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and web-based applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret and educate others on payroll laws.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Premier ERP, UKG, and WFD timecard platform.
