About the position

The Payroll Administrator at Roosevelt University is responsible for supporting the Payroll Department by processing three payrolls, including bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. This role involves handling garnishments, account analysis, reconciliations, and responding to payroll-related inquiries. The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to service excellence in interactions with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Process three payrolls: 1 bi-weekly and 2 monthly.
  • Handle garnishments and account analysis.
  • Perform reconciliations of payroll transactions.
  • Answer W-2 questions and send copies as needed.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries via email.
  • Send reminders to supervisors or students about timesheet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Ability to reconcile payroll transactions.
  • Experience with payroll processing, preferably with ADP systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state withholding requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Banner software preferred.
