About the position

The Payroll Analyst will oversee the planning and coordination of North America Payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining relationships with external auditors and tax agencies. This role is crucial for compliance with wage and hour laws and involves a variety of payroll-related tasks, making a significant impact from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, and input payroll data using an automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws and SOX compliance.
  • Facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Assist managers with resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Calculate hours from time entry systems as applicable.
  • Assist with HR-related projects and evaluate systems, policies, and processes.
  • Support pre-acquisition and post-acquisition payroll integration and training tasks.
  • Assist with audit-related items and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs and support team efforts.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends through training and professional development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with payroll systems and related software programs.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to payroll, company policies, and operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and PC programs or equivalent.
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization and time/project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • English language competency.
  • Ability/willingness to travel as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Workday, ADP Smart Compliance, ADP Payment Solutions, or other HRIS/Payroll systems preferred.
