About the position

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for managing and processing vendor payments and associate payroll in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Responsibilities

  • Record A/P transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Accurately reconcile A/P and payroll statements
  • Process facility payroll accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and verify quarterly payroll reports timely
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients
  • Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
  • Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
  • Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Human Resources and Payroll experience required
  • Healthcare or mid-size company experience helpful
  • Prior bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Data entry experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail
  • Knowledgeable of administration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing administration functions in the post-acute care facility

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with payroll software
