About the position

The Payroll and Accounting Clerk at Life Care Center of Rochester is responsible for managing and processing vendor payments and associate payroll in compliance with applicable laws and company standards. This role requires attention to detail and proficiency in various administrative functions within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process vendor payments and associate payroll.
  • Record accounts payable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and payroll statements accurately.
  • Process facility payroll in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and verify quarterly payroll reports.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service towards patients.
  • Assist in the evacuation of patients when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Human Resources and Payroll experience required.
  • Experience in healthcare or mid-sized companies is helpful.
  • Prior bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Data entry experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of administration practices and procedures in post-acute care facilities.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
  • Understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing administration functions.
