About the position

The Payroll and Accounting Coordinator is responsible for managing and processing payroll for employees while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in payroll software systems, along with assisting in various accounting tasks and hiring processes as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll, verify hours, and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in alignment with monthly applications.
  • Organize, file, and enter credit card receipts into QuickBooks on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with hiring tasks, such as screening resumes, conducting initial calls, and onboarding new hires (as needed).
  • Provide office support, assisting with phones and emails as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in payroll processing preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Basic understanding of hiring processes (preferred but not required).
  • Background check required for this position.
