As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our team and help us shape the future of our organization. As a Payroll and Accounting Specialist at CFB, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes and supporting various accounting functions. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in payroll, compliance with state tax regulations, and assisting with financial reporting and reconciliations. This position will be located at our Ocala office and work directly under our CFO. In this role, you will conduct weekly timesheet reviews and postings, process biweekly payroll accurately and timely, prepare monthly workers' compensation reports, handle payroll reconciliations, and coordinate with state tax agencies. Additionally, you will perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring that all employee benefits are reconciled for accuracy.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and accounting functions
  • Proficiency with ADP payroll systems is required
  • Experience with DelTek (Vantagepoint) is a plus
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Knowledge of state tax regulations and payroll compliance
