About the position

The Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist at Kingston Healthcare is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll and accounts payable processes. This role involves collaboration with various departments to manage payroll processing and accounts payable functions, contributing to efficient financial operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support biweekly payroll processing in Infor Workforce Management and ADP Workforce Now, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Supervisors and HR to review employment changes and work with both internal and external customers regarding payables.
  • Perform data entry, systems administration, and payroll processing as assigned.
  • Manage direct deposit setup, tax withholdings, and process payroll garnishments, deductions, and corrections.
  • Review employee timesheets for accuracy, ensuring the timely export/import of pay data batches.
  • Assist with the calculation and processing of employee advances as needed.
  • Respond promptly to time-sensitive payroll issues.
  • Create and review spreadsheets, reports, and related documentation.
  • Conduct system data audits and support reporting needs.
  • Perform accounts payable functions, including invoice verification, coding, and processing payments.
  • Support additional accounting and finance tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven dependability and reliability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong aptitude for systems, including ERP, HRIS, payroll, time, and attendance systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Experience with accounts payable processing and fixed asset systems.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems like Infor CloudSuite and ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with adaptability to new systems and processes.
