We are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Manager to oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll and the management of comprehensive benefits programs at CAI. This individual will ensure that all payroll and benefits operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations and support the organization's strategic objectives. This position will be Contract and remote. The Payroll and Benefits Manager will manage and supervise the payroll team to ensure payroll is processed efficiently, accurately, and on time for all employees. They will oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability insurance, and any other company-provided benefits. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits, including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and IRS guidelines, is essential. The role involves coordinating with HR and finance teams to reconcile benefits statements and ensure accurate payroll deductions and contributions. The manager will lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process, evaluating options, negotiating with providers, and implementing changes. They will develop and maintain payroll and benefits policies and procedures, updating documentation as needed to reflect regulatory changes or process improvements. Additionally, the Payroll and Benefits Manager will serve as the point of contact for payroll and benefits vendors, maintaining strong relationships and resolving issues as they arise. Providing training and support to employees on payroll and benefits-related matters is crucial, ensuring they have the information needed to make informed decisions. The manager will prepare and review payroll and benefits reports for accuracy and provide analysis for management. Monitoring payroll and benefits systems for efficiency and recommending upgrades or changes when needed is also part of the job. The role includes managing the relationship with third-party administrators for leaves of absence, ensuring that leave programs are administered in compliance with federal and state laws and company policies. The manager will oversee the management of all types of employee leaves, including short-term and long-term disability, FMLA, and personal leaves, as well as global payroll operations for India and the Philippines, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and alignment with regional payroll practices. Finally, the Payroll and Benefits Manager will collaborate with the HR team to integrate payroll and benefits with employee onboarding and separation processes, keep abreast of trends and best practices in payroll and benefits administration to drive innovation and efficiency within the organization, participate in audits, and lead special projects related to payroll and benefits as required.
