About the position

The Payroll and Tax Accountant will manage payroll processes, administer HRIS, and execute tax filings for a workforce of approximately 200 employees in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations across multiple states.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of payroll for all employees
  • Administer HRIS to ensure accurate employee data
  • Execute tax filings in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll and tax filings
  • Manage multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations
  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now for efficient payroll processing
  • Perform various accounting functions related to payroll and taxes
  • Resolve inquiries related to payroll and tax accounting
  • Monitor and update employee payroll records as necessary
  • Take appropriate action to rectify any discrepancies or issues in payroll and tax accounting

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll
  • Must have a thorough understanding and ability to perform Accounting Functions
  • Experience in Payroll management is a prerequisite for this position
  • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes is required
  • Expertise in Tax Accounting is necessary for the role
