About the position

The Payroll Assistant at Prolim Corporation is responsible for performing a variety of statistical tasks and clerical duties essential for preparing payroll data for computer input. This role involves reviewing timekeeping records and processing exception items that require special handling. The Payroll Assistant will respond to inquiries from employees regarding deductions, calculations, and changes in compensation, ensuring that all payroll-related questions are addressed promptly and accurately. Additionally, the position requires the preparation, compilation, and maintenance of various statistical and payroll records, which are crucial for the smooth operation of payroll processing. In this role, the Payroll Assistant may also be required to manually calculate wages and post wage data for temporary work, bonuses, vacations, terminations, and other special payroll requirements. Maintaining employee records on the company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS) is another key responsibility. The Payroll Assistant will perform analyses and reviews of payroll data, developing reports for supervisory review to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-driven deadlines. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, as the Payroll Assistant will be interacting with employees and addressing their payroll-related concerns. This position is a contract role, requiring a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience in payroll and call center operations.

Responsibilities

Requirements
