Responsibilities

• Ensure payroll-related personnel actions are completed accurately and on time.
• Execute routine payroll transactions.
• Provide departmental human resource-related support.
• Maintain a high level of customer service in all interactions with employees and staff.
• Utilize technology to deliver professional services under close supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus two years of related payroll and/or human resources work experience.
• Experience or training in Microsoft applications.
• Willingness and ability to learn new hardware and software systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
• Effective communication skills in written and verbal formats.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of reporting lines.
• Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience functioning in a team environment.
• Experience with SAP or large integrated finance or human resources systems.
• Knowledge of payroll and/or human resources terminology and practices.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business practices.
