About the position

The Payroll/Benefit Specialist at Summit Management is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and benefits administration. This role ensures compliance with various regulations and provides support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee all aspects of payroll.
  • Verify banking and direct deposit changes for employees.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll inquiries.
  • Maintain payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
  • Issue W-4 and W-2 forms to employees.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, ADA, COBRA, and other regulations.
  • Process and issue garnishments and court order deductions.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and orientation.
  • Resolve employee benefits, retirement, and reconciliation issues.
  • Assist with benefit renewal and costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience processing payroll.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Knowledgeable in taxation and payroll law.
