About the position

The Payroll & Benefits Administrator at Adler Pelzer Group is a vital role within the North American HR Team, responsible for managing payroll and employee benefits functions across the USA. This hybrid position involves maintaining payroll systems, managing benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while supporting the overall objectives of the HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains payroll, timekeeping, and benefit processes, systems, and data to meet legal and company requirements.
  • Manages benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and claims processing.
  • Supports the Annual Open Enrollment process and acts as the primary contact for payroll and benefit software.
  • Responsible for the audit process for benefits within the system.
  • Conducts centralized payroll processes for all employees according to pay calendars when required.
  • Creates, maintains, and distributes reports related to payroll and HRIS functions.
  • Accepts additional assignments to support team objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in full cycle payroll and payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of benefit administration with multiple providers.
  • Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and general ledger.

Nice-to-haves

  • Licenses & Certifications in HR or Payroll administration preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and Excel.
