About the position

The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator at Genesis Reference Laboratories is responsible for supporting the Finance and Human Resources teams by processing payroll and managing employee benefits. This role involves a variety of tasks including payroll functions, managing the Employee Navigator System, and assisting with employee onboarding and off-boarding. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing all payroll functions for the company.
• Managing the Employee Navigator System.
• Gathering payroll expenses and inputting them into the appropriate General Ledger.
• Managing benefit functions and assisting with open enrollment.
• Reconciling benefit invoices to the current employee census.
• Assisting with the onboarding and off-boarding of employees.
• Participating in ad hoc project work as assigned.
• Assisting with other related HR duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Human Resources, Business, Business Administration, Finance, or a related area of study.
• Experience in Payroll & HR, with Paylocity experience being a significant plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly MS Excel.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a professional client service orientation.
• Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and independent thinking.
• Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving team environment.
