About the position

The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator at FGF Brands is responsible for coordinating and processing payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees. This role involves managing payroll functions, providing support for payroll and benefits issues, and assisting the Payroll and Benefits Manager with daily operations. The position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Update team member profiles including direct deposits, address changes, and W4 forms.
  • Process payroll-related documentation weekly, including PTO, bereavement, jury duty, and refunds.
  • Verify the completeness of timecards and correct errors as necessary.
  • Process hourly/weekly team member transfers, promotions, and evaluations accurately and timely.
  • Complete uploads and scanning of team member profile documents into the HRIS system.
  • Process termination activities and associated documentation.
  • Handle child support orders, wage garnishments, and tax levies as specified by legal documentation.
  • Provide support with payroll and benefits reports as requested.
  • Assist in reconciling benefits invoicing and resolving discrepancies with carriers and payroll.
  • Complete income and employment verifications.
  • Maintain relationships with benefits brokers and carriers for various benefits.
  • Review weekly deduction files for accuracy and complete payroll adjustments.
  • Participate in annual 401(k) audit and NDT.
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment and provide necessary reports.
  • Support benefits administration, COBRA compliance, and communicate benefit information to team members.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years working in a benefits/HR function or related experience required.
  • Experience with Workday, Success Factor, and ADP is a plus.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Intermediate PC skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office for data analysis and reporting.
