About the position

The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing the payroll and benefits processes for a nonprofit organization. This role involves ensuring accurate and confidential payroll processing for over 400 employees, assisting with benefits enrollment, and maintaining compliance with various tax and reporting requirements. The position is full-time and offers the potential for direct hire based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and confidential bi-weekly payroll for 400+ employees
  • Audit POS and time clock entries
  • Assist managers and employees with online benefits portal
  • Assist managers and employees with payroll documents
  • Oversee annual benefit open enrollments
  • Coordinate benefit enrollment with TPA
  • Submit biweekly EFTPS tax payments
  • Submit quarterly wages to MIWAM
  • Submit W2 information to Federal, State and local agencies within annual deadlines
  • Process annual ACA 1095 forms w/ Employee Navigator within annual deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience from time entry to tax payments
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
  • Comfortable processing end to end payroll for over 400 employees biweekly
  • Employee Navigator experience a plus
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in all matters
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with deadlines
  • High level of organization and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Dependable
  • Must pass a drug test and criminal background check
