About the position

The Payroll Benefits Coordinator at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home is responsible for managing payroll processes and employee benefits, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role involves supporting the HR department in various functions, including payroll processing, employee engagement, and maintaining accurate employee records. Responsibilities

• Process payroll in adherence with federal/state/facility/regional pay guidelines.
• Ensure that pay practices are documented, and monitor pay rates and programs for accuracy.
• Issue and track FMLA and other applicable leaves.
• Administer workers' compensation and assist in recruiting and onboarding new staff.
• Oversee employee engagement activities and ensure compliance with state and federal posting requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee information in the HRIS, including social security numbers and job titles.
• Review employee time and attendance reports for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Two years' experience in payroll or human resources, preferably in long-term care.
• Knowledge of UKG payroll and onboarding systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families, and at all levels of the organization.
• Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
• Ability to be accurate, concise, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
