The Payroll/Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in managing payroll and benefits for NTN Driveshaft, Inc., ensuring accurate and efficient employee compensation and benefits management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing and benefits administration, with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. This position requires proficiency in using ADP Workforce software to process payroll for approximately 2000 employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. The specialist will maintain comprehensive employee records, including tax information, direct deposit details, and benefit deductions, while also serving as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits. In addition to payroll processing, the specialist will handle all aspects of benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations for health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plans. The role involves reconciling payroll and benefits data, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping. The specialist will also fulfill governmental regulatory mandates, ensuring that filings are performed quarterly and annually as required for service areas such as tax, 401(k), and ERISA. Furthermore, the specialist will respond to and manage unemployment, disability, ADA, and workers' compensation claims, collaborating with accounting team members to ensure seamless integration of payroll, benefits, HRIS systems, and general ledger. The Payroll/Benefits Specialist will assist with year-end reporting, including W-2 processing, 401(k) testing, and other compliance requirements. Generating and analyzing reports from ADP Workforce to support management decision-making and audit purposes will also be part of the responsibilities. The specialist will reconcile monthly benefit carrier billing against payroll records and process garnishment orders, child support processing, and employment verifications. Continuous improvement is key, as the specialist will recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Staying updated on changes in payroll and benefits regulations, laws, and industry best practices is essential to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements as needed. Participation in special projects related to payroll, benefits, HR initiatives, or other duties as assigned will also be expected.
