The Payroll & Benefits Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and the administration of employee benefits within a premier healthcare organization. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations while providing excellent service to employees regarding their payroll and benefits inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, including experience with manual checks, FSA deductions, and 401k processing. Familiarity with ADP payroll software is highly desirable, as is the ability to create reports and manage FSA disbursements. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. In this position, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, which includes managing employee salary changes and ensuring that all payroll records are maintained and updated. The specialist will also administer employee benefits, including enrollment, status changes, and terminations, while working closely with the payroll vendor to ensure smooth operations. Providing excellent customer service to employees is a key aspect of this role, as the specialist will address inquiries related to payroll and benefits. Additionally, the specialist will assist with 401k administration, ensuring compliance with plan policies, and will be involved in physician onboarding and credentialing processes. The ability to create and analyze reports will be essential for providing insights and recommendations for improvement in payroll and benefits processes. Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time, including employee salary changes
  • Administer employee benefits enrollment, status changes, and terminations
  • Work with payroll vendor
  • Handle manual checks

Requirements

  • Experience in payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Experience with ADP payroll software
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Certification in payroll or benefits administration is a plus
  • Experience with creating reports and FSA disbursements is a plus
