About the position

The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in managing payroll processes and benefits administration for a non-profit organization. This hybrid position requires the specialist to work in the office 1-2 days a week, where they will assist both new and current employees with their benefits plans and ensure accurate payroll transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Processes and reviews bi-weekly payroll ensuring timely and accurate payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, union, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to positions and pay rates.
  • Participate in new hire onboarding by providing a comprehensive overview of the organization's benefits offerings.
  • Provide ADP end user training to new hires.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Manage new employee onboarding and benefits administration.
  • Handle leave of absence and employee time off inquiries.
  • Address payroll inquiries from employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience with benefit administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
