The Payroll/Bookkeeper position at our client’s organization is a vital role that combines payroll processing, bookkeeping, and client management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for registering LLCs and other entities with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) and applying for Employer Identification Numbers (EINs). This role requires a strong understanding of QuickBooks, as the candidate will assist clients in setting up and managing their accounts, ensuring that monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. In addition to bookkeeping, the Payroll/Bookkeeper will process payrolls on various schedules, handling all related tax payments and filings. This includes preparing and filing essential forms such as Forms 941, 944, UCT-101, WT6, WT-7, W3/W2, and 1099s. The candidate will also be responsible for preparing and filing Sales & Use Tax returns, managing client registrations for necessary IDs and online portals, and creating year-end workpapers for tax return preparation. The role also involves handling bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and accounts receivable/payable, making it a comprehensive position that requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
