About the position
The Payroll Clerk position at Advantage Resourcing involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing employee data, and maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy of timecards, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system (new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes)
- Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and manage garnishments, deductions, and benefits
- Generate payroll reports for audits and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations
- Collaborate with HR on employee benefits, leave balances, and time off
- Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 distribution
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in payroll or a similar role
- Proficient with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and work collaboratively with HR and accounting teams
