About the position

The Payroll Compliance Manager at Weber Logistics is responsible for overseeing and supervising the payroll functions of the organization. This role ensures that payroll is processed accurately and on time, in compliance with government regulations. The manager will coordinate payroll activities, collaborate with HR and accounting departments, and direct payroll staff to ensure efficient processing of payroll transactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the organization's payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Monitor payroll team performance and train new staff.
• Collaborate with business partners for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Review payroll payments and account reconciliations.
• Implement, maintain, and review payroll-processing systems.
• Coordinate with HR and accounting to verify employee data and accounts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
• Maintain accurate account balances and detailed records for auditing.
• Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software and procedures.
• Manage and resolve any issues related to payroll.
• Prepare reports and financial statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
• Three to five years of related experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with payroll software.
