About the position

The Payroll Coordinator at Innophos is responsible for processing payroll for both US and Canadian employees on a biweekly and monthly basis. This role involves auditing, reconciling payroll data, and ensuring compliance with wage withholding orders. The Payroll Coordinator will also address payroll-related inquiries from employees and collaborate with HR to implement necessary system changes related to employee compensation. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Process Multi State US payrolls and Canadian payrolls on a biweekly/monthly basis, including auditing, reconciling, and submitting payments to third-party vendors.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, including T-4 and W-2 reporting.
  • Perform regular payroll and tax reconciliation with each payroll processing.
  • Audit payroll files and reports for accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding employment verification.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect employee data.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
  • Respond to information requests and provide reports as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two years payroll experience.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus.
  • Knowledge of commonly used Payroll concepts and practices.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow with the organization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions for resolution.
  • Strong customer service orientation along with solid teamwork skills.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality in handling employee information.
  • Working knowledge of UKG Pro Pay, UKG Ready, or similar HRIS/Payroll solution.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HR systems.
