About the position

The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator at Oregon Restoration Co. is responsible for managing all payroll and benefits functions, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments while maintaining compliance with relevant laws. This role serves as the primary contact for payroll and benefits inquiries, focusing on employee satisfaction through effective communication and issue resolution. Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time via third party company
  • Process weekly prevailing wage payroll and recertified payroll reports via third party company
  • Collect, verify, and input employee timesheets, attendance, and other payroll data
  • Oversee timecard management to ensure accuracy and timely approvals
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
  • Reconcile and process benefits-related payments, ensuring accuracy and timely vendor disbursements
  • Maintain payroll and benefits records and ensure compliance with state, federal, and company policies
  • Respond promptly to employee payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Process wage garnishment and employee reimbursement
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and coordinate with Finance/HR teams
  • Generate and distribute payroll and benefits reports as needed
  • Ensure accuracy of direct deposit details and other sensitive information
  • Support audits and reporting for payroll and benefits processes
  • Confirm working days for salary employees
  • Process employee information updates and filing of employee documentation for all payroll, benefits and work
  • Maintain employee records for anniversaries, birthdays etc.
  • Monitor and record attendance events
  • Complete employment verification for employees
  • Meet with employees to go over benefit enrollment
  • Process calculations of payroll deductions for benefits
  • Process intake forms for workers compensation claims
  • Follow up with adjusters on workers compensation claims
  • Process payroll reports for workers compensation
  • Remit modified job description
  • Keep records for employees on modified duty
  • Process Wage and Status reports
  • Process tax report for pay periods
  • Communicate 401k standings with employees
  • Answer payroll, benefit and wage questions
  • Handle general office tasks such as filing, generating reports, setting up for meetings, transcribing meeting minutes, ordering supplies
