About the position

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for managing high volume, multi-state payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role involves processing payroll, maintaining records, and assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries, all while utilizing accounting software and adhering to payroll legislation.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly multi-state payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Utilize accounting software for payroll management.
• Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks related to payroll processing.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information is maintained in the system.
• Assist with audits related to payroll functions and provide necessary documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary changes in processes.

Requirements

• Experience with multi-state, high volume corporate payroll processing.
• Proficient in using EXCEL and payroll accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Previous experience with 10 key typing is preferred.
• High school diploma or Associates degree in a related field.
• 2 years of experience in Payroll, Staffing, or a related field preferred.
